Q:    Is there a fee to use a park shelter for my event?
A:    No.
       
Q:    How do I reserve a park shelter for my event?
A:    Call the Service Building at 324-5995 and give a start and end time.  Park personnel will unlock the restrooms in time for your event.  It will be your responsibility to put up signage indicating you have reserved the shelter.  It is also your responsibility to remove your signage after the event.

Q:    Is the City hiring right now?
A:    Positions for which the City hires are listed on our Employment section and with Nebraska Workforce Development, 1308 N. Adams, Lexington, NE  68850, (308) 324-2064.
       
Q:    I want to build a fence (or deck, shed, garage, addition, etc.) – are there any requirements?
A:    Various building projects have different requirements, but most require a building permit of some sort.  Fees may apply.  Please contact our Building Inspection Department for more information.

Q:    Is it okay to move a building in Lexington?
A:    Please see the City Code (Sections 6-15 through 6-20), and/or contact the Building Inspection Department for more information.

Q:    How do I know how much taxes are on my car or property?
A:    These taxes are collected by Dawson County.  The county treasurer’s phone number is (308) 324-3241.
