GRAND GENERATION CENTER

The Platters The World Famous Platters of Branson, Missouri, will be performing at a benefit concert for Lexington's Grand Generation Center.  The date is Sunday, March 14, 2010, 3:00 p.m., at the Lexington Middle School auditorium.  Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door, and are available at the GGC.  All proceeds go to the Grand Generation Center.  Click here for more information (poster).

Lexington’s Grand Generation Center, 407 East 6th Street, caters to the mostly retired generation (mostly).  Folks get together for nutritious economical meals, card games, billiards, sharing hobbies and other activities.  Dances are held many Friday nights, and during the summer the parking lot is the scene of a local farmers market on Saturday mornings.  The GGC is also where Lexington’s Meals on Wheels program originates.
